Using photographs of actual inhabitants of two of the oldest districts in Istanbul, French photographer and artist JR has been illustrating his ‘Wrinkles of the City’ series.
The project began in the Spanish naval city of Cartagena in 2008, being extended to Shanghai, Los Angeles, Havana and Berlin, before finding its way to Istanbul.
