French artist AWIR returns to CHLOÉ’s Lumière Noire with ‘Hatsukoi’, the opening track from the label’s forthcoming Flash Vol. 3 compilation. Following his celebrated remix for Louen Poppé, he delivers a hypnotic fusion of minimal and techno, driven by rolling percussion, intricate rhythmic movement and subtly shifting melodic details.
Avoiding conventional builds and dramatic breakdowns, ‘Hatsukoi’ unfolds as one continuous journey, gradually pulling the listener deeper through evolving grooves and imaginative sampling. The track lands alongside contributions from Clément ASWF, Don Turi and Neurotypique on 18 September, capturing Lumière Noire’s distinctive meeting point between dancefloor functionality, cinematic storytelling and artistic experimentation.
