Following two decades of friendship, shared DJ booths and creative exchange, German artists C.Vogt and Sofian present their first collaborative EP, D.Y.F.I.T, on Constant Circles. Rooted in late 80s and early 90s New York house, the five-track release brings together three original productions with remixes from label founder Just Her and NYC artist Lauren Ritter.
Premiering here, closing track “You’re Not Both” occupies the space between house and deep techno, combining a hypnotic groove with the pair’s instinct for blending genres. The track also emerged from perhaps the EP’s least conventional studio moment, with C.Vogt falling asleep while they were making it. D.Y.F.I.T is released digitally on 25 September, paired with original artwork from Martín Shiah.
