Little Helpers is a conceptual label courtesy of Butane and Someone Else, launched in December 2009. Each track is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. With a solid concept and a consistently strong output, they have released music from a wealth of talent including the likes of Jamie Jones, Ryan Crosson and Fideles. The sound is often minimal and experimental, so it was somewhat of a surprise when Get Physical & My Favorite Robot artists Smash TV stepped up to the plate for Little Helper 305. However, they did not disappoint. A journey from Electronica through to Techno in one EP, this release ticks every box, with a more upbeat feel than some of the label releases, it manages to convey the duo’s trademark sounds with a subtle hint of minimal. Superb.
