The distinctive sounds of the young French producer THe WHite SHadow made a powerful debut on Crossfrontier Audio earlier this year, and now three highly regarded friends of the label have been invited to reinterpret the originals, forming an exciting remix package with plenty of dance floor credibility.
First up is Einmusik, who has just released his album I.D.C. on his own imprint Einmusika Recordings. He delivers a beautiful interpretation of the track ‘reload’ with building melodies and a driving but deep analogue groove, to create a very authentic sounding twist on the original.
Master of deep and complex sounds MUUI, who’s stunning Elsa EP was recently released on Crossfrontier, also delivers a heavy hitting deep house rework of the track ‘Dream’ with a chunky groove that’s verging on minimal and cleverly built arpeggiated synths creating the perfect atmosphere for afterhours sets.
Although all the reworks are excellent in their own right, there is no doubt that rising star Kris Davis has stolen this package with his deep techno rework. Taking the melodic elements of the original track ‘Snowflake’ and adding his trademark dark groove, this remix is a surefire dance floor winner.
