Classic drum and bass label Hospital Records has been at the forefront of the electronic music game since their formation all the way back in 1996. In recent years, they’ve begun to expand their sounds into other areas of dance music, and in fine style.

The latest example of this broadening of the spectrum is BOP & Subwave‘s debut collaborative album Renaissance. The two have been working together for some time now, transcending their individual moves from drum and bass as a collective.

Released Friday 11th November, this piece of magic traverses drum and bass, breakbeat, synth pop etc. And it does so in a fascinating and idiosyncratic style.

A few tracks to listen out for are Euphoric Rush with Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds on vocals and singles Don’t Wake Me Up and (perhaps the best of all) Rave I Didn’t Know Was The Last. We’re anticipating hearing the latter in many a-club set in coming months.
