Beginning as a young DJ on the Berlin house & techno scene, Meggy soon also became noticed for her distinctive vocal style. Over recent years she has lent her talents for slick lyrics and melodies to tracks on stellar labels like Keinemusik, Rebirth, Stil Vor Talent and most noticeably her collaboration with Rampa on Defected which became a world renowned hit. But she is also quickly rising the ranks as a producer, and with regular releases on Suol, she now returns to the label with an EP that solidifies her place in the production ranks.
Packed with effortless credibility, the three original tracks in “Welcome to the V” are the perfect demonstration of her finely honed production skills. There is a stripped down, analogue feel to the grooves, layered cleverly with colourful melodies and of course her trade mark vocals are beautifully intertwined. This is definitely one for the underground heads.
