Hailing from Rio De Janeiro and releasing a plethora of music under various guises for the best part of two decades, now London based Vinicius Honorio has already begun to make serious waves since turning his hand to techno, with stellar releases on Skeleton, Elevate and Drumcode.
His latest release is no exception in quality, and is the second outing for his new imprint Liberta – a word derived from Portuguese slang, meaning the start of something or freedom, which he wants to portray with the music being released on his label – a platform where artists can express themselves freely.
Showcasing the depth and breadth of his productions, this release, the “Heartbeat” EP, contains five original tracks, all pulsating with energy, but also conveying the deeper and more melodic side of Vinicius Honorio – and such is the case with our premiere. “The World We Know” has a beautifully constructed, stripped down groove that will pack a punch for any dance floor, before the killer blow is delivered – a striking vocal breakdown that will stop you in your tracks.
