For the fifth instalment on their label, the Amsterdam based VBX crew main main Ferro steps up with his ‘I Change, Just Like You’ EP. The label and party starters have proven themselves time again as firm industry favourites, booking seriously tasty line ups and releasing impeccable music to match. This years ADE parties are no exception either bringing in a line up consisting of heavyweights such as Ricardo Villalobos, ZIP, Sonja Moonear and more.
This offering is no different, with the sublime ‘Endresonic’ being one of the most eagerly anticipated tunes in months. The instantly recognisable vocal which dreamily floats over the ridiculously groovy, meticulously constructed beat, and the warm resonant low end which just hugs you in the club. A phenomenal piece of music which has been utilised already by many key tastemakers in the scene.
The B side ‘Dark Revelations’ certainly has a suitable title, the fidgety percussion which skips along, dancing a sinister dance with the layers of white noise and effects which hauntingly combine to create a dark, moody soundscape, a very futuristic, abstract sounding track. A sea of modulating bleeps and pops, all underpinned by that signature groove we have come to love.
A fantastically contrasting EP from the A to B sides, showcasing not just the beauty of Ferro production capability but also the diversity he can bring to one record, you’ll be sure to continue hearing this one being pulled out of the finest selectors record boxes for months to come in sure.
